Accounts Payable Clerk (Part-Time)

20-25 hours per week

$24 - $25 per hour



We are seeking a dedicated and independent Accounts Payable Clerk to join an established finance team. This part-time role offers the opportunity to grow within the organization while handling essential AP functions. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and able to manage tasks in a dynamic environment.

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will manage all AP functions, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors, reconciling accounts, and entering invoices. Your ability to follow procedures, make recommendations for process improvements, and apply organizational policies to the AP process is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

Process invoices and vendor payments, including those received through the automated Intacct program.
Verify vendor invoices, maintain payment records, and investigate discrepancies.
Manage outgoing payments in accordance with company policies.
Reconcile AP accounts to the general ledger.
Understand and follow procurement processes to move POs through Intacct accounting software to final payment.
Track contract expiration, determine renewal needs, and enter contract payment terms into the accounting software.
Understand expense accounts and cost centers for accurate transaction posting.
Review expense reports for compliance and process payments to employees.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.

Key Characteristics:

2+ years of accounts payable experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
Experience with SAGE Intacct preferred.
Knowledge of Concur is a plus.
