PACE Equity is the leading funder of CPACE (Commercial PACE) projects for real estate development. Commercial PACE is a fast-growing industry that has developed in the last 5 years to over $1.7B in annual funding in 2022. PACE Equity works with commercial building owners and developers who are undertaking major construction projects such as building renovation, solar & renewables, redevelopment and ground up new construction. PACE Equity provides capital for these projects through Commercial PACE programs throughout the country. A typical project has $5 million in funding from PACE Equity and a total development budget of $30 million. What's the Role If you’re a high-energy originator who thrives on deal-making, relationships, and results, this is an opportunity to make a measurable impact while building real momentum in a fast-growing financial segment. As a Business Development Director, you’ll drive market growth and originations — sourcing new opportunities, shaping capital solutions, and partnering with Managing Directors to close deals that drive both revenue and impact. Key Responsibilities (70%) Prospect – Leveraging PACE Equity tools and resources, aggressively prospect for CPACE financing opportunities. Pitch – Position PACE Equity as a trusted solution for financing needs. Articulate the value proposition of PACE Equity to present financial solutions that meet or exceed the client’s requirements. Partner – Engage tenured Managing Directors to serve as Joint Work Partners in alignment with deal territory. Market Share – Utilizing PACE Equity’s differentiators and prospecting tools, deliver on activity goals and quotas to grow market share among competitors. Key Responsibilities (30%) Integrated Mortgage + C-PACE Solution – Engaging and nurturing qualified sponsors to identify projects that would be a good fit for PACE Equity. Sales Campaigns – Deploy targeted campaigns to identify originations opportunities Broker Strategy – Advance centralized pursuit of broker relationships and facilitate joint work opportunities with Market Leaders Large Assets – Support large asset acquisition efforts as needed to maintain relationships with Capital Market Brokers Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business or related field 5–7 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, development, or capital markets, with proven success originating (or closing) $5M+ transactions. Strong understanding of capital stacks, loan structures, and developer economics. Strong network preferably within the CRE, brokerage, or development community and a track record of building lasting relationships. Exceptional presentation, executive presence and negotiation skills Financial acumen: able to interpret pro formas, term sheets, and capital structures with ease.
