*Per Diem Opportunity*
* *Monday - Friday, hours fluctuate between 8am-8pm, occasional weekends when necessary*
* *Travel REQUIRED among locations: Lynbrook, Rockville Centre, Merrick, Massapequa, Woodbury, Bohemia, Garden City*

*General Summary:* Performs radiology imaging procedures and protocols. Ensures proper information is obtained for physician diagnosis.

*Essential Job Responsibilities:*
* Prepares patient for radiology procedure.
* Ensures patient is screened according to protocol, and assures consent for the procedure has been obtained, when necessary.
* Positions patient on the radiology exam table for optimal testing procedure and conditions.
* Sets-up equipment to administer the proper procedure in timely fashion.
* Performs radiology procedures as prescribed by ordering physician.
* Obtains images of anatomical area of interest at appropriate slice thickness and sequence.
* Ensures proper views and images have been obtained and proper techniques have been followed.
* Able to use both CR & DR systems
* Order supplies, pertaining to x-ray department
* Make film copies and burn discs of X-ray exams
* Assist with clerical duties within office as needed (answer phones, greet patients, organize files, handle charts, etc.)

*Experience and Qualifications:*
* Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, required.
* New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, required.
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration, required.
* Alternatively of in addition to the above, we also accept American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required.
* Prior radiology experience, preferred.

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
