CalSTRS - Investment Officer, Risk Mitigating Strategies

The CalSTRS Investments Branch is seeking an experienced individual to work as an Investment Officer II on the Risk Mitigating Strategies team.
The Risk Mitigating Strategies (RMS) asset class was established in 2016, with an objective to invest in strategies that provide further diversification of CalSTRS overall investment portfolio, especially during equity market downturns. RMS includes long duration U.S. Treasuries, Trend Following, Global Macro, Systematic Risk Premia, and other strategies to be identified in the future.
Under the general direction of the Portfolio Manager, the Investment Officer II is responsible for assisting with the oversight of the Risk Mitigating Strategies (RMS) Portfolio, evaluating new strategies, monitoring the portfolio, and analyzing performance attribution. This position performs complex duties requiring a high degree of independence, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and discretionary judgment.
