City of DeLandJob DescriptionCONCESSION ATTENDANTPay Grade: 100 - $15.00/hour Dept: Parks & Recreation Exempt: No Reports to: Parks and Rec DirectorHours: 15-20 per week Date: October, 2023SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting in the operations of a sports facility concession stand at the Sperling Sports Complex.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ability to provide excellent guest service while working in a sometimes fast paced environmentServe food and beverages to customersProper cash handling including greet and service guests at the registers, taking orders, and accepting payments, cash or debit and credit cards.Replenishing foods at serving stationsPrepare food such as hot dogs, popcorn, nachos.Prepare bills for food and drink using cash register, calculators. Accept payment and make changeClean and sanitize equipment, counter tops, floors, dishesStock and restock items as necessaryQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school graduation or GED is preferred.LANGUAGE SKILLS: The applicant must have the ability to establish and maintain effective communication with other employees and the general public.REASONING ABILITY: The applicant must have the ability to count cash and give correct change.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Candidate will be reliable, trustworthy, dependableCandidate must have good customer service skillsMust be able to work flexible hours that includes nights, weekends and possibly holidaysStanding, stooping, and bending for long periods of timeWORK ENVIRONMENT/ADA: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, climb, walk, stand, kneel, bend, stoop, and push. The employee may be required to operate equipment, work outside in various weather conditions.Lifting: 50 Pounds or moreEnvironment: Outside EnvironmentVision: 20/20 or Corrected to 20/100Hearing: Normal Noise Levels *Class Descriptions are not intended to be restrictive.
