*JOB DESCRIPTION*

The Press Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the assigned press and recording periodic checks, for the quality of the product being produced.

*SHIFT AVAILABLE*

*2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:15 PM*

*3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:15 AM*

*SPECIFIC DUTIES*
* The safe and efficient operation of a transfer metal press (250 to 1320 Ton).
* Must meet assigned production quotas and requirements.
* Set-up manual, progressive, and linear transfer dies for metal stamping production.
* Ensures raw material being used is the correct material and gathers all Receiving Inspection Tags.
* Ensure that the scrap from the die is conveyed into the scrap containers, and that all set-up scrap has been removed from the area. Ensure that garbage and scrap metal are being properly segregated.
* Maintain production logs and documentation.
* Work with QC personal on ensuring quality is maintained during production and setup
* Quickly resolve metal stamping production issues, preserving production quotas and timelines.

*SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE*
* Automotive metal stamping / manufacturing production experience is preferred
* Familiarity with Quality Documentation / ISO9001 / TS16949
* Understand basic written and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks
* Valid Lift Truck Training is an asset but not required
* Valid Overhead Crane Training is an asset but not required
