Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machinery in the Press department, including progressive and transfer presses, hand grinders, measuring instruments, fixtures, and material handling equipment.

• Assess product quality through visual inspection and the use of measuring tools, gauges, and fixtures.

• Interpret job instruction sheets and inspection forms accurately.

• Maintain records related to quality, productivity, and downtime.

• Complete daily log entries as required.

• Implement lean manufacturing principles effectively.

Supervisory Role
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

• A minimum of 1-3 months of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficient in reading and interpreting safety regulations, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.

• Basic mathematical and computer skills are essential.

• Ability to understand and follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.

Certificates and Licenses
No certifications required.

Additional Skills

• Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a production environment.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands for handling or feeling, and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently walks, climbs, balances, talks, or hears. Occasionally, the employee may stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
