Position Summary: The Director of Operational Excellence is a pivotal leadership role tasked with overseeing the Salesforce Project Management Office (PMO), guiding technology implementations, and managing Salesforce platform enhancements. This individual will champion operational excellence, align projects with strategic business objectives, and elevate the technological experience across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Steer the Salesforce PMO, establishing strategic priorities and ensuring projects support the company’s goals.
- Manage the lifecycle of technology projects, from planning and execution to delivery, adhering to timelines, scope, and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with various teams to streamline technology implementation and ensure cohesive integration throughout the company.
- Direct the enhancement of the Salesforce platform, closely engaging with stakeholders to convert business needs into actionable technical specifications.
- Craft and enforce project management best practices and standards for technology deployment.
- Track and report on project milestones and outcomes, offering insights to senior leadership.
- Proactively identify project risks and challenges, devising strategies to mitigate potential impacts.
- Liaise with vendors and external partners to acquire necessary resources and specialized expertise.
- Foster the adoption of new technologies and methodologies, guaranteeing a frictionless operational experience for all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline, with a preference for a master’s degree.
- Locums, healthcare staffing or healthcare industry experience is highly preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience at a Director Level.
- Demonstrable leadership experience in leading a technical department and managing technology enhancements within an IT PMO or a comparable setting.
- Robust project management acumen, evidenced by a history of successful technology project completions.
- Demonstrated success managing both integrations and enhancements.
- Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce, with hands-on experience in managing enhancements on the platform.
- Exceptional communication abilities, coupled with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a knack for tactical execution.
- Analytical mindset with adept problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in change management and driving the adoption of new technologies.
- Certifications like PMP, Six Sigma, Salesforce Administrator Certified, PMP, Lean Six Sigma
- Agile Methodology: Strong foundation in Agile practices, including acting as a Scrum Master.
- Salesforce Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Salesforce, with certification preferred but not mandatory. Candidates will be assessed for their understanding of Salesforce architecture, list views, reports, and industry-relevant trends and solutions.
