The opportunity:
We’re looking for an experienced Associate Creative Director on the Aquent Studios x Adobe team who will support the Campaign Creative and Adobe.com Experience Design teams with a focus on Acrobat and Document Cloud. Adobe.com is one of the most heavily trafficked corporate websites in the world, the front door for most customers, and a primary revenue generator for Adobe. We’re looking for someone who can look at the big picture from a creative, user experience, technology and business standpoint and is unafraid to step outside the box to deliver compelling user experiences. The ideal creative director brings hybrid experience to include web marketing design and visual design.

What you’ll do:

  • Demonstrate expert working knowledge and a complete understanding of the product or segment (in this case Acrobat).
  • Translate messaging requirements and KPIs into engaging, compelling, and effective web creative that tells a unique segment or product story with a consistent brand personality and voice.
  • Leverage, enforce, and help evolve our creative and web design systems (and associated asset libraries), maintaining a consistent look and feel in terms of imagery, typography, and identity.
  • Design for a variety of audiences and personas, beyond wireframes and prototyping, to include web marketing design and visual design for new and existing web pages.
  • Collaborate with the Lead UX Designer to create exceptional user experiences on web marketing projects and initiatives.
  • Work with and interpret user experience flows, site maps, wireframes, and prototypes that align with website goals and milestones.
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, campaign managers, organizational leaders, user research, and other designers, in drafting and brainstorming concepts.
  • Coordinate multiple projects to completion on deadline.
  • Work across a wide range of platforms, technologies, and devices.
  • Convey design ideas via sketches, storyboards, mood boards, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and full visual designs.
  • Support web development teams throughout the implementation cycle.

What you need to succeed:

  • 8+ years of experience
  • Strong creative sensibilities with experience in visual design, branding, web marketing design, and UX design.
  • Knowledge and problem-solving skills around design elements, such as color, typography, and composition to convey meaning is essential. To craft good design that solves business challenges, strong problem-solving skills are needed.
  • Brand expertise. The Adobe brand is recognized and respected around the world. Maintaining its integrity depends on having a clear understanding of Adobe brand guidelines and adhering to them in all creative work.
  • Experience in development and delivery of marketing releases of new technology or major innovations.
  • Creative direct animation and motion experiences.
  • A proven track record and portfolio of solid experience in design and strategy that meet user needs, website requirements, and business goals.
  • Technical proficiency with programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma. Knowledge of video or animation tools is a big plus. A general interest in computers and an aptitude for learning new technology are vital.
  • Strong experience design skills using diverse thinking, from the basics to contributing solid strategic design thinking.
  • Deep knowledge of design system principles.
  • Drive and passion for improving user experience and usability of complex problems.
  • Flexibility to accept and design against feedback from colleagues in a rapid iterative design process, and effectively produce multiple highly polished and professional finished works under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Be a mentor and motivator and encourage collaboration within the team.
  • Be helpful and willing to answer questions.
  • Willingness and ability to contribute to the creative spirit of Adobe’s Campaign and Experience design teams and Adobe overall.
  • Promotes the organization and team’s mission and goals internally and externally.
