Ingersoll’s broader portfolio includes flows, life‑science technologies, industrial manufacturing, energy solutions and more across 80+ brands.Job OverviewThe Territory Sales Manager is responsible for selling the organization’s products and services in the Southeast United States, generating revenue and profit within the assigned territory. The role requires technical knowledge, organizational skill, and customer focus to influence customers and apply solutions to their needs. The position also contributes to marketing, market planning, and product development activities.ResponsibilitiesManage sales channel partner relationships, sell directly to OEM and selected accounts, and sustain aggressive sales growth rates.Interpret customer requirements, calculate quotations, negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and provide after‑sales support while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.Develop account strategies, plan territories, and support high customer satisfaction, focusing on new account development and profitability.Collaborate with Sales Management to set yearly bookings, sales and margin goals, and execute marketing plans for increased brand awareness.Assist distributors with contract negotiations, closing sales, and developing marketing plans for contract accounts, and support distributor sales orientation and training.Attend trade shows, educational conferences, and lead sales meetings; maintain knowledge of new products and services.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.3+ years of field sales experience.Strong problem‑solving and negotiation skills.Excellent presentation skills for small and large groups.Reside within the territory to be managed.Core CompetenciesCustomer‑facing skill proficiency.Oral and written communication excellence and cross‑functional collaboration across all organization levels.PreferencesBachelor’s degree in an engineering or business field.Travel & Work ArrangementsUp to 75% travel expected.What We OfferIngersoll Rand embraces a culture of personal ownership and provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, wellness programs, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and an employee stock grant.
