OverviewJoin to apply for the Senior ProServe Cloud Architect , WWPS role at Amazon Web Services (AWS).The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced ProServe Cloud Architect (PCA) to design and implement tailored cloud solutions for customers. In this role, you will work closely with customers to understand technical requirements and business objectives, serving as a key player in the pre-sales process and providing technical guidance throughout the cloud journey.It is expected to work from one of the listed locations (or customer sites) at least 1+ day per week. This is not a remote position; you will be in the office or with customers as needed.Key responsibilitiesDesign complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions to deliver customer business outcomes (CBOs).Provide technical guidance and best practices during pre-sales and implementation phases.Collaborate with Account Managers and Shared Delivery Teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and achievable.Act as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies.Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts.About the TeamThe AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts helping customers realize desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We partner with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives and provide guidance through focused offerings and global specialty practices.QualificationsBasic Qualifications5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, designing and implementing cloud solutions.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced technology degree or AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional).Deep understanding of AWS services across compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies.Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).Expertise in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments.Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences as part of the pre-sales motion.Compensation and Additional InformationOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year to $239,000/year depending on location and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company; equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits may be provided as part of the package.
