Job Description
- Works on a production line or at individual job stations on a variety of tasks assembling parts into sub-assemblies or into completed units utilizing a variety of hand and power tools or simple machines.
- Functions are more varied and complex than entry level assembly and wider knowledge of product line is required.
- May perform test of product at either sub-assembly or final assembly points.
- May be called upon to do repair or rework of assembled units or sub-assemblies.
- Must be responsible for and knowledgeable of quality, workmanship and company production standards.
- Capable of performing simple set-ups.
- Must recognize and report problems, discrepancies, and failures in material, tooling, machinery and processes.
- Demonstrated capability of performing the job of the Repetitive Assembler.
- Understands the four Level Defect Grading System and continually seeks out, reports, and contributes to problem solving in order to correct or prevent quality defects and errors.
- Works in accordance with safety standards.
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED or above. Minimum of 1 year related experience or one to two years of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly experience is required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write and follow instructions in English.
- Ability to speak effectively to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides. Ability to perform these operations using units and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to read simple sketches and shop drawings.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear. Requires a high degree of manual dexterity.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Salary: $18.50hr - $22hr
