Job Summary

We are looking for a Production Control Inventory Specialist who possesses strong analytical abilities along with time-management skills to join our Snyder Industries team in Marked Tree, Arkansas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use MRP systems to track, monitor, and forecast inventory needs
  • Coordinate with sales and purchasing departments to ensure product availability and timely delivery
  • Perform raw material and sub-assembly availability checks
  • Create work orders based on MRP demand and print labels
  • Close out work orders and resolve variances
  • Conduct cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies
  • Maintain ASTM records
  • Maintain and distribute backlog and daily shipment report
  • Perform vendor labor receipts and warehouse transfers
  • Send pickup requests for LTL and 3rd party CPUs
  • Access customer portals to request pickups and enter ASNs
  • Maintain various safety records
  • Follow up with Sales when RGAs are returned
  • Clear late shipments weekly
  • Order office and cleaning supplies
  • Maintain railcar inventory
  • Monitor shipping schedule and print pick lists

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports, such as spreadsheets.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
