Key Responsibilities
- Utilize MRP systems to monitor, track, and predict inventory requirements
- Collaborate with sales and procurement teams to guarantee product availability and prompt delivery
- Conduct checks on raw materials and sub-assemblies for availability
- Generate work orders based on MRP demands and prepare labels
- Finalize work orders and address any discrepancies
- Perform cycle counts and resolve inventory variances
- Maintain ASTM documentation
- Compile and distribute backlog and daily shipment reports
- Process vendor labor receipts and manage warehouse transfers
- Request pickups for LTL and third-party CPUs
- Access customer portals for pickup requests and ASN entries
- Keep various safety records updated
- Follow up with sales on returned RGAs
- Resolve late shipments on a weekly basis
- Order office and cleaning supplies as needed
- Oversee railcar inventory
- Monitor shipping schedules and generate pick lists
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, ideally within a manufacturing context.
- Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
- Proficient mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to utilize inventory management software for updating counts and generating reports, including spreadsheets.
