Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize MRP systems to monitor, track, and predict inventory requirements
  • Collaborate with sales and procurement teams to guarantee product availability and prompt delivery
  • Conduct checks on raw materials and sub-assemblies for availability
  • Generate work orders based on MRP demands and prepare labels
  • Finalize work orders and address any discrepancies
  • Perform cycle counts and resolve inventory variances
  • Maintain ASTM documentation
  • Compile and distribute backlog and daily shipment reports
  • Process vendor labor receipts and manage warehouse transfers
  • Request pickups for LTL and third-party CPUs
  • Access customer portals for pickup requests and ASN entries
  • Keep various safety records updated
  • Follow up with sales on returned RGAs
  • Resolve late shipments on a weekly basis
  • Order office and cleaning supplies as needed
  • Oversee railcar inventory
  • Monitor shipping schedules and generate pick lists

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, ideally within a manufacturing context.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Proficient mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to utilize inventory management software for updating counts and generating reports, including spreadsheets.
