Housekeeping Associate

Description

•Maintains a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertinent to the housekeeping and laundry department.
•Dusts, vacuums, mops floors, empties trash cans, wipes counters and cabinets, cleans stoves, refrigerators, bathrooms,
offices, common areas and all other areas of the building as assigned.
•Attends department and general staff meetings as scheduled and required.
•Reports all broken equipment and unsafe conditions and resident complaints to the housekeeping supervisor.
•Moves furniture as needed.
•Removes trash from the community and deposits it in the dumpster.
•Cleans equipment as necessary and follows directions for proper use of all chemicals and equipment.
•Assists in making sure all laundry is completed on a timely basis.
•Cleans all windows inside as necessary.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
•Reports any and all requests to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
•Assists activity department with special events as needed.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS
•Minimal educational requirements - elementary with additional courses.
•Must possess a general knowledge of infection control and experience in housekeeping procedures with a hotel, hospital, nursing home or public facility.
•Possesses good communication skills.
•Must be considerate and polite to others.
•Must be able and willing to accept supervision, training and direction.
•Must be in designated uniform during working hours.
•Must have strong customer service skills.
