The ideal Crane Operator is responsible for planning, supervision, coordination, productivity and execution of all crane operations within the scope of the project. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. Local and non—local travel may be required.

Job Description:

US Framing International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Crane Operator to join our team. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating tower cranes to lift, move, and place heavy materials on construction sites. Your primary duties will include determining load weights, checking lifting capacities, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites.
  • Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload.
  • Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms and lifting accessories to ensure proper functioning and prevent malfunctions.
  • Inspect cables or grappling devices for wear and replace them as needed.
  • Direct helpers in placing blocking or out-rigging under cranes to provide support and stability.
  • Clean, lubricate, and maintain crane mechanisms such as cables, pulleys, and grappling devices.
  • Load and unload bundles from trucks and move containers to storage bins using crane equipment.
  • Review daily work schedules to determine orders and sequences of deliveries.
  • Inspect bundle packaging for compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
  • Direct truck drivers in backing vehicles into loading bays and securing loads for delivery.
  • Weigh bundles and record weights for company records.
  • Document all required Hazard Assessments, Crane Inspections, etc.

Requirements:

  • Valid certification as a Crane Operator.
  • 2-3 Years Proven experience operating tower cranes on construction sites.
  • Knowledge of crane operations, including load capacities, rigging, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to interpret and follow work orders, safety regulations, and operating procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical strength and stamina to work long hours in demanding conditions.
