To better serve the global auto industry EV trend in United States, we are now hiring a Building Automation Systems Engineer, for a new mega-site manufacturing project in Michigan. We are looking for a talented and experienced Building Automation Systems Engineer to join our team. They must be highly motivated and experienced. The Building Automation Systems Engineer will be required to keep up with the project demands as the various construction, launch and operation milestones are completed. Oversight activities may require alternative work schedules to support facility construction and commissioning activities. Also, this role will require excellent management skills, ability to work well under pressure, and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
Responsibilities
System Design and Implementation:
- Design, develop, and implement building automation systems to enhance energy efficiency and operational performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into effective automation solutions.
Programming and Configuration:
- Develop and write control system software for building automation systems.
- Configure and program control devices, sensors, and actuators to optimize building performance.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to building automation systems.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and updates to ensure the reliability and functionality of automation systems.
Integration of Systems:
- Integrate building automation systems with other smart building technologies, such as HVAC, lighting, and security systems.
- Ensure seamless communication and interoperability between different systems.
Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor system performance and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement optimization strategies to enhance energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Documentation and Training:
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide training to end-users and technical staff on the use and maintenance of building automation systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Building Automation System Engineer or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages used in building automation systems (e.g., BACnet, Modbus).
- Proficiency in using building automation software and tools.
- Knowledge of control system design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
- Strong attention to detail in system configurations and troubleshooting.
