Position Summary
Position Summary:
A Scientific Games Marketing Sales Representative (MSR ) is responsible for representing the Delaware Lottery and Scientific Games. MSR'S are responsible for managing retailer accounts within their designated territories assigned. The role will include all aspects of Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, Inventory control & business growth and development. The ideal MSR candidate is an organized and self-motivated individual that possess the ability to effectively overcome challenges and work as a team player. The MSR will travel, utilizing a company vehicle, to their assigned retailers on the route. Each MSR works together with A Delaware Lottery Field Rep. with shared requirements to help lottery retailers with all aspects of lottery related business. This may include training and continued education of lottery retailer rules and regulations. The position requires the ability to work with minimal daily supervision as well as work independently.
Job Functions Requirements / Qualifications:
Sales, Marketing & Merchandising
- Review weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets with retailers
- Assist in delivery, placement & development of point-of-sale material.
- Establish and maintain rapport with decision makers at each retailer.
- Provide answers to all retailer's questions on operations of lottery terminals include return procedures for instant ticket product.
- Grow the Delaware Lottery Instant game portfolio by increasing Bin count utilizing sales performance data when possible.
- Educate retailers and lottery players on all instant and draw games provided by the lottery.
- Visit all retailers on the established territory route schedule per week.
- Participate and engage in all Scientific Games Inc. and Delaware Lottery sales meetings.
- Identify potential locations with Delaware Field Rep, which could possibly sell lottery product.
- Present all Lottery products and the benefits of selling Delaware Lottery products to potential businesses.
- Set up and train new Lottery Retailers, including Change of Ownership and close out procedures.
- Conduct promotions at the retailer level, interreacting with the retailer and lottery consumer/players
- Maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism in completing all responsibilities and duties while representing both Scientific Games Inc, and the Delaware Lottery.
- Adhere and uphold all policies set forth by Scientific Games Inc and the Delaware Lottery.
- Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained for every retailer within the designated route territory
- Maintain a safe work environment and clean driving record.
- Bachelor's Degree in Sales or related field or equivalent experience of 4 years minimum
- Experience with the Lottery operation/industry is preferred
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record (to be maintained)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to remain tactful and diplomatic in difficult situations
- Ability to train others on products and promotions
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot both mechanical and system issues
- Positive and self-motivated attitude
- Ability to work individually and with others as a team
- Lift up to 40 pounds consistently
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Requires frequent bending and stooping
