The Mapping Department is responsible for providing land survey and mapping support in the maintenance, operation, and development of the organization’s facilities. In this position you’ll provide support to the Mapping Supervisor with data management and process tracking for multiple projects, assignments, and initiatives. Their ideal candidate is organized, self-directed, and has a strong knowledge of automated data systems. *Location: *Vancouver, Washington – *HYBRID *– 3-day per two-week pay period

*Key Responsibilities for Data Steward:*
* Support Land Surveyors and Cartographic Technicians by tracking and updating project assignments, due dates, and deliverables.
* Review and update project data in multiple project tracking systems.
* Create reports to monitor Mapping project deliverables, demand, and capacity.
* Verify the completeness of project deliverables by ensuring all documents and data are included.
* Document processes and procedures for project deliverables.
* Review and document data archiving processes.
* Administer the Mapping SharePoint site.
* Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Land Information System.
* Create supporting documentation on Mapping processes and workflows.
* Maintain, track, review, update, and organize engineering/surveying records including: Plan and Profile Drawings, Land Acquisition Requests (LARs), Notice of Rights Secured (NORS), Records of Survey (ROS), Engineering Survey Notes
* Create, update, and attribute engineering/survey records in ProjectWise.
* Review and update survey records in ArcGIS.
* Develop and recommend business rules for storage procedures.
* Create and implement metadata processes and frameworks.
* Mark documents and maintain filing systems, files, emails, and records in accordance with compliance requirements. Share and disperse documents only to appropriate personnel with a Lawful Government Purpose to know. Ensure all official records are marked and maintained according to Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Governance & Lifecycle Management (IGLM) standards and procedures. Validate accurate maintenance of official records for auditing purposes.

*Requirements/Qualification for Data Steward:*
* Bachelor’s degree in business management, logistics management, engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
* _1/2 year of experience is required._
* Experience must include records management experience supporting construction, engineering, surveying, drafting operations, or a related field is required.
* The technical experience must be consistent with the specific requirements of engineering operations and progressively more technical in nature. Individual must be capable of applying a diversified knowledge of principles and practices in assigned technical areas. Requires a working knowledge of automated data systems.
* Experience and working knowledge of SharePoint, sufficient to enter and retrieve data.
* Experience and working knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise and MicroStation.
* Experience and working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Desktop.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
