ResponsibilitiesPerform general diagnostic radiographic examinations under the orders of a physician.
- Assist with x-ray and basic machine operation ensuring exams are technically satisfactory, properly positioned and processed adequately.
- Prepare patients for radiologic examinations and procedures protecting patient, self and other staff from radiation hazards.
- Take x-rays as requested by physician by selecting the proper ionizing factors, adjusting radiographic controls and positioning patients.
- Clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining repairs
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Machine Operator credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
