We are seeking an Inboard and Systems Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the recreational and commercial vessels of our customers that have an inboard engine. Candidates will be required to provide basic maintenance on listed marine engines and various other systems on those vessels. Candidates should have a passion for the work that they do in order to provide the best quality product to our clients. Candidate should be a self-starter able to manage projects on their own and communicate directly with customers.
Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair vessel systems and equipment.
* Be an active member of a team and work with peers.
* Communicate with customers regarding the status of repair and/or additional items needed.
* Read schematics, and other technical documents and be able to explain their contents to others.
* Opens and closes building and ensures that all doors and windows are closed and securely locked prior to leaving.
* Maintains motors and other mechanical equipment and ensures that such equipment receives scheduled servicing.
* Inspects equipment and facilities and recommends repair or replacement action to supervisor.
* Prepares and maintains records to document work and repairs as requested.
* Complete work as efficently as possible, in a timely manner, in accordance with customer needs and company schedules.
* Make recommendations to improve profitability of repair jobs.
* Assure the proper diagnosis is done before work starts on a job.
