We are looking for a Parts and Service Writer to join the team at our West Side store. If you are a mechanically-inclined professional with attention to detail and communication skills, we want to hear from you. Boating experience is a plus.
As the Parts and Service Writer, you will be responsible for duties ranging from writing up service work, working with service technicians for job completion, parts sourcing and customer service. You will use your negotiation skills to secure the best prices on inventory and ensure a consistent balance between supply and demand. To succeed in this role, you must be highly organized and have in-depth knowledge of marine parts.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they arrive at the dealership
- Create a professional environment that builds rapport and puts customers at ease
- Answer customer questions about service and parts
- Use CRM software to maintain a customer database
- Explain repairs, parts and electronics
- Use strong communication skills while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Valid state-issued drivers license and clean driving record are required
- Prior boating experience a plus
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage time and serve customers with little supervision
