If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves, treat the business as if it is your own and add value accordingly, come see why we’re Calumet Proud PURPOSE: The Finance Director- MRL is primarily responsible for financial oversight of the Company’s Montana business segments including leadership of accounting and finance professionals across related functional areas. A trusted financial advisor, the Finance Director will provide quality financial support to operational management and senior executives to enhance decision making and support the segment’s growth strategy. KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Explain, present and analyze the financial performance of the Montana business. Provide meaningful financial guidance, insight, advice and recommendations to respond to operational and business challenges and monitor progress towards strategic priorities. Manage and drive continuous improvement in the monthly financial closing process in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations while maintaining strong internal controls in compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX). Lead the annual planning and monthly forecasting process by gaining a complete understanding of business drivers and key performance indicators. Manage corporate and plant finance resources to achieve best in class processes for timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations. Other duties and special projects as needed. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES: 10+ years of relevant, progressive finance experience in a business support role. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or relevant field with appropriate experience. At least five years of deep planning/forecasting/reporting experience. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Understanding of US GAAP, SEC regulations and SOX. PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES: MBA, CPA, CMA or CFA. 15+ years of finance related experience with successful management track record. COMPETENCIES: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization. Critical thinker and problem solver. High level of initiative and self motivation.
