A maintenance technician supervisor's job includes many responsibilities, such as:


Supervising, and training maintenance workers and contractors/vendors
Planning and scheduling: Developing maintenance policies and procedures, shift schedules, and work assignments
Ensuring quality: Maintaining quality standards and ensuring work is completed correctly and on time
Safety: Conducting safety inspections and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Responding to requests: Prioritizing and responding to maintenance requests, and monitoring their completion
Evaluating systems: Inspecting buildings and systems to identify maintenance needs and potential improvements
Ordering supplies: Requisitioning and purchasing tools, supplies, and equipment
Budgeting: Contributing to the development of the maintenance budget and estimating costs for specific projects
Coordinating projects: Overseeing maintenance and repair projects,
Providing guidance: Providing technical guidance and facilitating communication between Vendor services and inner company
Monitor maintenance expenditures and ensure that budget guidelines are met. Plan, schedule, supervise, and assist with all regular and special functions, activities and projects of the maintenance unit
Supervise/assist with the maintenance and repair of tools and equipment used to perform maintenance, mechanical and construction work.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Technical trades training, plus eight to ten years of relevant experience in the building trades, or a combination of education and experience.

HVAC is a must
