Summary

Martello Re is seeking a Total Rewards & Operations Manager to design, develop, and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits programs, including the administration and management of the company’s 401K plan. This role involves close collaboration with HR Team, executives, and others to ensure our rewards and compensation programs align with Martello Re’s strategic priorities and core values. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of applicable legal compliance and regulations. Additionally, this role will manage and maintain the HRIS platform, ensuring data integrity and providing user support and training.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and continuously improve the company’s compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  • Conduct research, monitor industry trends, and provide timely recommendations to maintain competitive total rewards offerings.
  • Create and enhance compensation and benefits-related policies and procedures to ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Implement and lead the annual review of total rewards programs, effectively communicating them to employees and ensuring they remain competitive and effective.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of total rewards programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiations for benefit programs to secure favorable terms and evaluate vendor performance.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits plans, including healthcare, retirement, and time-off benefits, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Administer and manage the company’s 401K plan, including employee enrollment, contribution processing, compliance testing, and annual reporting.
  • Analyze, report, and provide timely analysis of compensation and benefit metrics to inform strategic decisions and best practices for total rewards.
  • Oversee the HRIS platform, ensuring the integrity, security, and accuracy of employee data. Lead HRIS projects to enhance system capabilities and user experience.
  • Provide user support and training on HRIS functionalities, assisting employees with system navigation and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation, benefits, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal compliance and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining employee compensation, benefits, and recognition programs.

 

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and compensation management software. Experience with specific HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, ADP) is advantageous.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Ability to work well with others and handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Location

  • This role will be based in either our Charlotte, NC office or in Bermuda.


Travel Requirements

  • Periodic travel to Martello Re offices for internal meetings, as needed.
