Position Summary

 

Oversees the multi-year work plan for a Line of Business (LoB) and partners with internal departments to develop the execution plan, ensuring work and resource plans align with the budget and link appropriately to the regulatory recovery process. Monitors in-year execution of the work plan by the operations execution organizations. Collaborates with the LoB Business Finance team to monitor and reallocate budget between the various programs and maintain an overall view of budget performance.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

 

Reporting Relationship

 

This role reports into the VP, Vegetation Management.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Oversees the strategy and development of a prioritized and optimized long range and annual work plan portfolio, supported by a strategic, balanced annual resource plan, in collaboration with leadership from Asset Management, Distribution Operations, Transmission Operations, and Business Finance. Oversees the strategy and execution of LoB’s Multi Year Work Plan and the development and delivery of 5-year Strategy Plan.
  • Provides high-level strategic guidance and direction for the development of the LoB Transmission and Distribution operating plan and budget. Works with Executives and Directors to maximize the effectiveness and strategic use of the Operating Plan budget. Collaborates with executives and senior management to support and facilitate strategic planning and decision making, high level work plan prioritization and contingency planning. Influences management to make work and resource planning changes to ensure organizational goals are met.
  • Provides strategic direction into current year forecasts and associated corrective actions, and facilitates annual budget and target allocation process.
  • Provides business intelligence, advice and counsel on work and budget related issues to the LoB senior leaders to enhance alignment. Ensures Operating Plan communications are clear and effective.
  • Validates Public Safety, Customer Service and Reliability objectives are well resourced within the Operating Plan including timing and planning of expenditures that maximize improvement efforts.
  • Ensures the delivery of work progression plans across functions, mitigates risk and implements actions plans as necessary with functional departments.

Compensation

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Bay Area Minimum: $182,000.00

Bay Area Maximum: $310,000.00

 

Or

 

California Minimum: $173,000.00

California Maximum: $295,000.00

 

Background Qualifications

 

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, business administration or comparable quantitative field or equivalent related work experience.
  • 10 years of relevant work experience with steady progression of responsibilities.
  • 8 years of supervisory/managerial experience.

Desired

  • Master's degree in engineering, economics, business administration or equivalent quantitative field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or certificate.
  • Utility, energy or regulatory industry experience.
