Position Summary

Supports a department or a line of business by providing Work Methods & Procedures, Technical Support, Quality Control, Human Error Analysis & Investigation, and Training. Develops, designs, and maintains bulletins, manuals, job aids and tailboards regarding electric standards, work methods and work procedures.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

A reasonable salary range is:​

Bay Area Minimum: $132,000​

Bay Area Maximum: $226,000​

&/OR​

California Minimum: $125,000​

California Maximum: $215,000​

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Acts as a subject matter expert and thought leader, and applies extensive unique expertise.
  • Develops and implements effective business strategies in support of the company and department.
  • Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues.
  • Performs complex compliance training activities which may include developing complex technical standards & manuals, evaluating & recommending new work methods, and training in implementing requirements, work processes, and procedures. Interprets compliance requirements to develop practical and cost-effective standards and training to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Assists others in defining curriculum learning objectives and course outline, designing curriculum, and developing/building training content and materials.
  • Delivers course curriculum to students, and provides feedback to curriculum design team to improve training.
  • Leads numerous complex and/or unique projects of broad scope with high corporate or functional priority.
  • Provides input into training programs and requirements for repairs, maintenance, operations, and equipment.
  • Acts as a witness assistant by helping with the development of testimony, work papers and discovery responses, settlement documents and communications materials.
  • Provides technical expertise, historical perspective, industry standard, and regulation code requirements to improve safety, productivity and performance.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 12 years in the electric utility industry
  • At least 10 years’ experience as a Journeyman, Estimator/ADE or in an engineering discipline

Certification in one or more of the following:

  • Journeyman Lineman,or 
  • Journeyman Cable Splicer, or 
  • Journeyman Electrician, or 
  • Journeyman Electrical Technician, or
  • Journeyman System Operator, or
  • Estimator/Associate Distribution Engineer

Desired:

  • Bachelors Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience as Cable Splicer
  • Experience with MS-Microsoft Office applications-Access, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint, Word, 2 years
