Job Title: Principal Full Stack Software Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team at Fidelity Investments. As a key member of our High Income and Alternatives Technology team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality software components that are used by Portfolio Managers and Analysts to manage over $100 billion in High Yield, Credit Alternatives, and Systematic Investment Research Funds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices design patterns
  • Develop full-stack applications using AWS cloud-platforms like EC2, Lambda, CloudFormation, S3, IAM Roles, KMS, EKS, CloudWatch, Elastic Search, and Elasticache
  • Develop and deploy large-scale, highly available, resilient, secure, scalable, and digital enterprise applications using micro-services and event-driven architectures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement development practices, standards, and strategies
  • Participate in Agile Software Development methodology and use JIRA for issue and project tracking

Requirements:

  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices design patterns
  • Experience developing full-stack applications using AWS cloud-platforms
  • Experience with micro-services, event-driven architectures, and cloud-based technologies
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
