Diagnostic Imaging Assistant \On-Call

The Specialist-Diagnostic Imaging Support assists and directs patients while retrieving, organizing and inputting digital images and/or exam information into our Electronic Medical Records System (EMS). The Diagnostic Imaging Support Specialist is responsible for all applicable software, and interacts with many departments, office staff, physicians and patients. The position requires extensive clerical, telephonic, and customer service skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree - In the medical field or 1 year medical and/or clerical experience.
  • Coursework/Training - Basic medical terminology course, or completed within 6 months of hire or knowledge obtained through work experience.
  • A successful completion of a Providence Internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diagnostic Imaging experience.
  • Electronic Medical Records System experience.
  • Coursework/Training - College courses in intermediate medical terminology and physical anatomy or a successful completion of a Providence Internship.
  • BLS certification
  • Medical Terminology experience
  • EPIC experience
