Job Summary

Mountain Park Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for clinical purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Radiologic Equipment: Utilize radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, following established protocols and safety procedures.
  • Position Patients: Position patients correctly for imaging procedures, ensuring accurate and safe positioning.
  • Process and Critique Images: Review and critique images for diagnostic quality, density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
  • Submit Examinations: Submit completed examinations for radiologist interpretation and official reporting.
  • Perform Quality Assurance: Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannually, and annually quality assurance checks on equipment, following established QA program guidelines.
  • Interact with Patients: Interact with patients in a timely and positive manner, introducing yourself and explaining procedures.
  • Authorize Patient Release: Authorize patient release upon completion of radiologic examination.
  • Assist with Administrative Tasks: Assist with departmental administrative work, including scheduling mammograms and maintaining x-ray logs.
  • Maintain Patient Confidentiality: Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to Health Center guidelines.
  • Order Supplies: Order all necessary supplies and film.
  • Maintain Working Environments: Maintain all working environments, including restocking rooms and keeping work areas clean.
  • Clean and Maintain Equipment: Clean and make minor adjustments to radiologic equipment.
  • Train Students: Train students within Mountain Park Health Care guidelines.
  • Promote Positive Patient Relations: Promote positive patient/guest relations in accordance with Mountain Park Health Care policies, providing a high level of quality in personal attention and service to patients and visitors.
Qualifications
  • Current Certification: Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R)(M).
  • ADHS Certification: Current certificate with ADHS (CRT, CMT).
  • BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Education: Completion of a course in radiologic technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Registration: Registration in Radiography and Mammography are required.
  • Arizona Department of Health Services Certification: Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) certification is required.
  • Experience: Experience with Mammography 2D is required, 3D/Tomosynthesis experience is preferred. Breast Ultrasound experience is also preferred.
