- ARRT registered technologist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified for healthcare providers
- CT registration by ARRT preferred

**Job Description:**
- Perform high-quality CT procedures with independence and judgment.
- Ensure proper patient identification and order verification; prepare the patient for exams.
- Conduct exams per department protocols while demonstrating cross-sectional anatomy and anatomical positioning competency.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles.
- Critique own films to maintain quality standards.
- Complete studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care.
- Demonstrate knowledge of protocols related to contrast administration.
- Administer oral barium products or intravenous contrast material under supervision.
- Maintain appropriate infection control and sterile techniques.
- Educate patients as needed to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Operate CT equipment and related systems effectively for quality image production.
- Exhibit proficiency with contrast injectors and laser printers; manage electronic imaging.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including timestamps and image storage.
- Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, and consent documentation.
- Maintain a quality control program and report equipment issues promptly.
- Meet departmental IV certification competency within three months of hire.
- Complete modules for controlled substance and moderate sedation where applicable within six months.
