**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 Hours

**Experience:** One year of related experience

**License:** Registered Technologist (R.T.)

**Certifications:**
- BLS (AHA) Required
- ACLS (AHA) Preferred
- PALS (AHA) Preferred

**Must-Have:**
- Proficiency in patient care, radiologic technology, and time management
- Ability to float to different locations as required within 60 miles

**Job Description:**

- Provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department.
- Perform high-quality images and exams while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs.
- Adhere to safe radiation practices and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
- Demonstrate leadership abilities and act as a role model for associate technologists.
- Serve as a clinical resource and ensure current standards of practice for the unit.
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring safety for self, patients, and others.
- Produce quality images accurately and timely, facilitating smooth patient flow and scheduling.
- Prepare patients for exams and provide necessary information and instruction regarding procedures.
- Assist and position patients during exams, observing for any unusual occurrences and documenting patient conditions.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff.
- Perform IV starts and contrast administration as required.
- Input charges and required data for procedures and utilized supplies accurately.
- Maintain room, equipment, and exam materials, and ensure proper documentation of equipment maintenance.
- Engage in ongoing education and professional activities, sharing knowledge with staff.
- Participate in department/hospital quality and process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with all State, Federal, accreditation, and hospital regulations.
- Contribute positively to accreditation processes as requested.
- Demonstrate effective time management and adaptability to rapidly changing scenarios and technologies.
