Responsibilities

Weatherford has an opening in Williston, ND for an Artificial Lift Technical Sales Rep to pro-actively and strategically sells specific tools, technologies, and services across the Weatherford portfolio for established accounts. The role encompasses project management, as well as pursuing new opportunities within the ALS portfolio. In alignment with the agreed sales plan, the Artificial Lift Technical Sales Rep ensures a high level of technical knowledge support is provided to the sales and account management team. The role also works to establish customer relationships that enable the identification of customer needs and the positioning of Weatherford solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities and Process Improvement

  • Consults with management and reviews project proposals.
  • Establish a professional, successful relationship with the client.
  • Accurately estimate new projects given defined scope of work.
  • Develops, prepares and presents the statement of work, project plans based on site surveys and requirements gathering.
  • Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives.
  • Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
  • Coordinate project resources and workload in a matrix organizational structure.
  • Establishes standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • Prepares/reviews status reports, schedules and plans as required.
  • Provide Functional and Technical advice and resolve problems.
  • Coordinates and responds to requests for changes.
  • Develops and maintains technical and project documentation.
  • Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
  • Responsible for adopting consistent & effective use of the available Technology
  • Follows up on leads & opportunities assigned - create update & close leads in SFDC.
  • Accountable for the technical review & commercial proposal.
  • Oversees the tender development and response process, ensures all resources are available for highest quality submissions.
  • Liaise with the legal department for contract drafting and execution
  • Responsible for discussing the technical specifications with the client & gaining client feedback.
  • Develop strategic plans to strengthen Weatherford Identity by understanding customer/industry key objectives & aligning our Core Capabilities, assembling, and disseminating market intelligence.
  • Oversees all areas of business risk and ensure strategies exist to mitigate these as much as possible

Client & Communication
  • Understands customer's needs and ensures products and services are marketed, positioned and understood by key decision makers in customer organizations.
  • Proposes solutions to customers formally (through pitches, presentations & tender submissions) and informally through networks, relationships, discussions.
  • Responsible for relaying competitive information back to the appropriate PL stakeholders, including: pricing, product performance, marketing material, activities, new products/technology etc.
  • Responsible for developing specific client application value propositions.
  • Submit technical abstracts or articles to industry publications and/or Weatherford intercompany magazine.
  • Maintains understanding of Weatherford technology, capabilities and service & effectively communicates Product Line to customers.
  • Participates in Product Line demonstrations and training to customers & internal stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Responsible for undertaking where appropriate contract closure meetings with the client in conjunction with the Account Manager.

Finance
  • Responsible for the generation of annual revenue targets through the creation and conversion of account plans.
  • Drives Company alignment by ensuring the integration of all sales activities into a single client account plan.
  • Take relevant actions to identify and address revenue 'gaps' for the year to ensure target achievement.
  • Responsible for finalizing the upsell plan as per the BSA in conjunction with the Account Manager


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years industry experience in a combination of field and onshore technical support roles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Have basic understanding of Artificial Lift Technologies.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Management skills with ability to exercise initiative to resolve potential & actual problems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Advanced computer and presentation skills with experience of delivering to internal and external clients.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate opportunities.
  • Candidates should demonstrate that they are commercially astute, have a good understanding of commercial tenders, contracts, high margin/profitability impact and requirements for high quality customer service.

Preferred
  • Degree educated in relevant oilfield or business discipline.
  • Broad knowledge of the Weatherford sales process, policies, products & services.
