Main OR currently has 17 active operating rooms and we do approximately 40 cases per day. It is a fast-paced operating environment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate surgical services activities and tasks in support of patient care.

  • Coordinate the clinical patient care of surgical services.
  • Serve as a technical or functional resource for staff and perform similar patient care duties.
  • Assign, monitor and review progress of work.
  • Monitor and report compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate shift operations including scheduling, assigned activities, and resources.
  • Evaluate and oversee orientation and training of assigned associates.
  • May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.
  • Oversee utilization and maintenance of supplies, instruments, and equipment.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job
    transfer date required.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of
    hire.
Additional Preferences
  • Main OR experience strongly preferred
  • General surgery / Robotics preferred
