Established in 1984, Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute has earned a national reputation for excellence in oncology care. With a network of over 250 physicians, 220 nurse practitioners, and physician assistants across nearly 100 locations, we leverage innovative clinical research, state-of-the-art technology, and advanced treatment options to deliver exceptional cancer care. Our commitment to clinical trials has been recognized by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), as we provide patients with access to more clinical trials than any other private oncology practice in Florida. Many of the new cancer therapies approved in the U.S. in recent years were studied through our clinical trials.

In collaboration with Sarah Cannon, we are among the largest clinical research organizations in the United States, often leading the nation in initiating research studies and offering pioneering therapies to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all patient appointments in accordance with physician directives, including external testing, referrals, and surgical services.
  • Serve as the primary contact between the company physician and referring physician/co-surgeon to ensure all necessary pre-operative and post-operative instructions are communicated to patients.
  • Oversee the monitoring, estimation, and collection of patient financial responsibilities for in-house services and surgical procedures.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the healthcare sector, ideally within a clinical environment.
  • Proficient in procedure entry with a solid understanding of insurance requirements, medical terminology, and ICD10 and CPT coding.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, strong communication skills, multitasking capability, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid Florida Driver's License is required for travel to various clinics.

Additionally, as a condition of employment, all new hires must receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, unless an exemption is approved.
