A day in the life

You will be responsible for the following:

* Ensuring all cash is applied to client accounts, invoices, or policies (lockbox, credit card, ach/wire) timely and with accuracy
* Working with clients to setup payment methods
* Handling incoming live checks by recording and submitting to the bank for deposit
* Processing credit card payments and emailing payment confirmations.
* Following up on any unresolved payments in a timely manner with the team lead or supervisor
* Managing accounts receivable (A/R)
* Maintaining accounts receivable customer files
* Monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
* Interfacing with customers on payment matters and dispute resolution
* Investigating and resolving customer queries (may require viewing agencies' software accounts to view information such as mailing address, census, branches, Medicare submitter ID, etc.)
* Performing General Ledger reviews and bank reconciliations
* Assisting with monthly close processes, reporting, and analysis
* Identifying and recommending process improvements and assist the finance team in maximizing efficiency, cash flow, and net income through financial analysis

Required Qualifications:

* MS Office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Two years related work experience
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Excellent analytical and report development skills
* Advanced knowledge of MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint & MS-Word
* Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
* SalesForce, Oracle Accounting, or Great Plains

Additional job expectations applicable to this position include:

* Willingness to work additional or irregular hours as needed
* Working in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures
* Performing other responsibilities as assigned
