Aston Carter is currently working with a local company in the Kansas City area looking for a Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their growing accounting team.

Description:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for maintaining customer relations while recording and reconciling payments. The successful candidate will also have good organizational and computer skills.


• Maintain strong customer relationships


• Prepare monthly statements for customers, or as requested


• Verify, process, and post all customer payments (ACH & Credit Cards)


• Review accounts receivables weekly to confirm all accounts are up to date


• Review delinquent accounts and contact customers for payment/arrangement of payment plans


• Prepare and make bank deposits, while creating journal entries for deposits


• Resend customer invoices upon request


• Assist with escalations – both internal and external customers


• Responsible for requesting account holds on delinquent accounts based on procedure


• Responsible for accounts receivable month end process


• Assist with the collections process, and gathering of supporting documentations


• Responsible for the reconciliation of customer collections statements like Celigo, Solupay, and UMB Merchant Account


• Research unidentified deposits


• Prepare final invoices as requested


• Assist customers with questions on invoices and payments


• Complete projects as assigned by manager

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

1+ year of Accounts Receivable experience

Bachelors degree in accounting or related field

NetSuite experience a plus
