Overview of the Staff Accountant role

You will be responsible for preparing and recording complex journal entries associated with inventory accounting and supporting the accounts receivable process.

Responsibilities

* Complete customer invoicing
* Perform collection activities for aged receivables
* Prepare monthly inventory journal entries to adjust general ledger balances
* Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations
* Propose solutions to address accounting issues. Review and provide guidance related to company policies/procedures. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
* Special projects as assigned

Criteria

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (4-year degree).
* 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred.
* Strong technical/systems skills required.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
* Strong analytical skills. Project management experience a plus.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Strong PC skills, especially Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of large corporate accounting programs.
* Self-directed, critical thinker able to work independently.
* Ability to analyze data and produce reports to assist operations and management.

Ability to perform work onsite in the Olive Branch office full-time pending state, local, and Company return-to-work guidance during and after the COVID-19 pandemic
