JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for coordinating the company's employee giving and volunteer initiatives; plays a key role in managing and administering the day-to-day activities of The Kemper Foundation's Kemper Scholars and Read Conmigo Bilingual Educator Grant Programs. This role is a blend of relationship and program management, administration, and communications.

LOCATION: This is a hybrid position with 3 time weekly reporting into our Chicago office.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Oversees Kemper Cares Ambassador program of approximately 20 ambassadors located in Kemper offices, including ambassador selection and training.
* Reviews matching gift requests to ensure alignment with corporate funding initiatives.
* Implements employee volunteer and matching gift campaigns and organizing volunteer opportunities. Collaborates with cross functional teams to amplify employee volunteer and giving campaigns and activities. Responds to internal and external queries about Kemper's employee engagement efforts.
* Builds and maintains relationships with campus contacts to administer The Kemper Scholars and Faculty grants program. Develops and supports key campus activities that promote insurance education, community involvement and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Represents Kemper and The Kemper Foundation with external philanthropy organizations.
* Coordinates Kemper Scholars branded assets including recruitment materials, website, event signage, student materials, and digital communications.
* Manages the grant review process including updates to application and other forms/documents, establishing workflows, and overseeing grants management system reporting. Works across teams to maintain consistent marketing materials for the program.
* Coordinates Read Conmigo branded assets with third party vendors.
* Responsible for analysis and tracking of metrics, preparation of reports, and communications.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree or related experience.
* At least 6 years' experience in program management and administration.
* At least 6 years' experience in corporate community involvement, employee engagement, grants management, or education programs is strongly preferred.
* Proficiency with grants management systems (i.e. CyberGrants)
* This position may require hours outside of normal business hours as the business requires.
* Travel is occasionally required.
* Sponsorship is not accepted for this opportunity.
* This is a hybrid role 3 times per week reporting into our Chicago, IL office.
