How you will make an impact:

The Power Plant Boiler Operator will be responsible for the operation of all power plant equipment ensuring the continuous generation of steam and electricity to the plant. This includes the startup and shutdown of boilers, turbines, and feed water pumps. Communication is important with key personnel on the status of the Crane central steam delivery system. In addition, the Boiler Operator must be competent in administering the feed water testing program. This is a rotating shift position that will also require the ability to work weekends and overtime.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Minimum of a 2nd Class Firemen's License
* Continuous education requirements must be kept up to date.
* Mechanical/technical aptitude
* Complete all continuing education requirements of the MA Dept of Public Safety for licensing renewal.
* Actively pursue and attain a 3rd Class Engineer's license within 2 years of securing the position.
* Applicants must be United States citizens. The person selected for this position will need to demonstrate suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements.

The pay rate is based off the type of license you currently have. Crane will offer in house training to obtain advanced licenses and pay you more for it
