Follows Telemetry Monitoring Policy & Procedures. Reports all abnormal findings to RN immediately. Records strips per policy
The monitor tech is responsible for obtaining, analyzing and accurately documenting patient rhythm strips under the supervision of an RN.
Other job responsibilities may include but are not limited to: interpreting and processing physician orders, answering phones, maintaining telemetry units
Some limited patient care (ex. Feeding, dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and vital signs). This should be performed under the supervision of an RN or the Nurse Manager.
