We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for preparing examination rooms, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and producing diagnostic images.
- Prepare examination rooms for patient examinations, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images, following strict protocols and guidelines.
- Position patients and equipment, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Insert commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences, monitoring video displays to adjust density or contrast.
- Monitor patients during examinations, ensuring their safety and following procedures to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Produce diagnostic images, reporting important information to physicians and updating patient records.
- Organize daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitor radiographic supplies.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Passionate about patient care.
- Requires a minimum of two years of current Interventional Radiology Tech experience.
- Graduate from a fully accredited Interventional Radiology Tech program.
- Active unencumbered Georgia Interventional Radiology Tech state license.
- One year of Cerner experience.
- ARRT Certification.
- COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
