Description
Many of the world's top engineers and scientists come together in our Water business because they view a community's interaction with water a bit differently-as a single holistic system, rather than unconnected networks divided by jurisdictional boundaries. Working throughout the hydrologic cycle, we are delivering sustainable solutions to make sure water is where it should be and available when needed. Our experts guide our work with scientific rigor, an innovative spirit, and a vision for growth. Every day, we help communities improve, reuse, and protect this precious resource for future generations. By 2025 we're hiring 2,000 people (like you) to join our team. Grow with us, H2O+U.

* Oversee teams preparing high-quality environmental compliance documents that meet applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
* Stay up to date on current and proposed legislation, court rulings, and other regulatory trends; evaluate their impact on clients and their water and natural resource projects and programs; and communicate these changes to clients and staff.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials

* Ability to provide written and verbal direction on project delivery.
* Shows leadership in striving to continuously improve technical performance.
* Champions new ideas and initiatives and creates an environment that supports creativity and innovation.
* Experience communicating with and/or initiating consultation with state and/or federal resource agency staff.
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including ability to convey complex technical and regulatory issues to a variety of audiences. Experience working with stakeholders, the environmental community, and the public preferred.
* A strong reputation in the power and water industry and with strategic clients and teaming partners.

* At least 20 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibilities for pursuing and executing complex water and natural resource projects.
* Expertise in environmental compliance strategy, including identifying, evaluating, and solving compliance and regulatory challenges.
* Experience planning, leading, writing, and reviewing complex environmental documents, including managing multidisciplinary production teams comprised of Stantec and subconsultant staff.
