9 AM - 5 PM

Job Description
1. Develop, establish and implement the philosophy, objectives, policies and standards of administrative services.
2. Collaborate with the all levels of the organization, and departments as necessary, to coordinate development and execution of a Performance Improvement Plan ("Pl Plan") and to ensure it is conceived and implemented in accordance with the Breakthrough Business System and is aligned with HHC and hospital strategic goals for the patient experience, clinical safety, quality, financial performance and market share.
3. In areas of responsibility, lead personal and departmental adoption and practice of the philosophy, principals and methods of the Breakthrough Business System (aka Lean), including but not limited to, planning, implementing, and / or participating in: (a) Value Stream Analysis, Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), A3 Projects, and other team-based performance improvement activities; (b) Value Stream Steering Team, Value Stream Mission Control, and other stakeholder management operations; (c) Daily Management System (DMS), Leadership Standard Work, Practical Problem Solving, and other Lean management processes; and (d) other assignments as specified.
4. Coordinate functions of Administrative Services with other disciplines and other departmental staff.
5. Direct development and execution of performance improvement projects for Administrative Services so that they aligned with the goals of the Pl Plan and are conducted in accordance with the Breakthrough Business System.
6. Review and, when necessary, direct revision of administrative procedures and systems to address new business needs, public policy changes, and / or regulatory requirements identified by the hospital or HHC.
7. Ensure that staff competencies meet the hospital's business standards through a system of continuing performance evaluation.
8. Direct the preparation of budgets for personnel, supplies and equipment.
9. Maintain cost awareness in the administration of personnel, supplies and equipment expenditures.
10. Utilize appropriate progressive disciplinary action for administrative staff performance issues using Just Culture principles.
11. Collaborate with the hospital's Regulatory Affairs and Quality Management Department to ensure that Administrative Services adhere to all accreditation standards and government regulations.
12. Conduct regular staff meetings for Personnel assigned to the Department.
13. Attend departmental and hospital-wide meetings as required and ensures dissemination of pertinent information to appropriate staff.
14. Provide the Leadership with necessary monitoring reports.
15. Plan, develop and, when appropriate, conduct training programs to maintain proficiency of administrative staff in the execution of new or revised processes and/ or systems.
16. In collaboration with the hospital's Human Resources Department, participate in recruitment and retention processes for administrative staff.
17. Meet all hospital compliance standards and requirements of professional conduct including, but not limited to: (a) annual physical; (b) competency assessments; (c) annual mandatory trainings, (d) fire and safety training; and other requirements as specified.
18. Develop personal industry knowledge and professional skills and capabilities by attending training sessions and other educational conferences and/ or seminars relevant to area of specialty.
19. Develop and / or update policies and procedures and participate in development and updating of relevant hospital-wide policies and procedures, ensuring that administrative staff follow them.
20. Represent the Leadership at meetings when necessary and, in his or her temporary absence, assume his or her duties as directed.
21. Represents hospital in system wide initiatives and projects when necessary.
22. Monitors continuous data analysis for all services and provides reports to the specific teams.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Masters Degree with a specialization in Hospital Administration, Health Care Administration, Administrative Medicine or in Public Health when conferred for a program in Hospital Administration from an accredited college or university; and,
2. Six years of high-level responsible experience in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration or an equivalent field, or as an Assistant to a Hospital Administrator in a position of direct responsibility for operations of a major part or all of a hospital, including substantial exposure in meeting community health needs; or,
3. An equivalent combination of training, education and experience in related fields and educational disciplines; and,
4. Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of hospital organization, administration and standards, regulations and laws applicable to hospital operations, knowledge of business and human resources administration principles, management functions, management processes and functions of hospital departments, and ability to direct and supervise personnel.
