Job Summary:
The Associate Director is responsible for working collaboratively with the Executive Director of the Parenting Center to support the delivery of the center’s mission and vision as it pertains to children, parents, and teachers. This role is fundamental in maintaining the reputation and quality of the program, in all aspects of its growth and development.

Job Responsibilities Include:

- Coordinates with the Executive Director on all aspects of Parenting Center program delivery including admissions, class placement, curriculum development and family engagement.
- Working with the Executive Director, participates in budget management, forecasting and revenue generation planning activities, ensuring that the Center is on track to reach revenue goals.
- In collaboration with the Executive Director, responsible for the recruitment, training, direction and performance management of all program faculty members and specialists, including Head and Associate teachers.
- Serves as co-leader, when applicable, of regular team meetings as a forum for reviewing programming content, discussing children’s progress and a means for providing training and support to teachers.
- Teaches classes and workshops as part of weekly responsibilities. Maintains an active presence in classes run by other teachers, when possible, to provide support to faculty members, engage with children and evaluate session’s effectiveness and content.
- In conjunction with the Executive Director participate in class meetings for parents and at parent conferences.
- Cultivate community within Parenting Center participants in areas such as community service, fundraising/development and social gatherings.
- Develop new programs, workshops, and speakers’ series to ensure that excellence within family programming is maintained.
- Perform other related duties as requested or assigned.

Experience, Education, & Skills Desired:

- Master’s degree in early childhood education; NYS Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in early childhood education.
- Previous school administration experience with the proven ability to prioritize, manage and deliver to completion, a demanding workload.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Problem-solver with proven leadership experience, high EQ, easily able to cultivate trusting relationships with myriad stakeholders.
- Experience working in a community-focused environment, with the ability to manage the demands of a diverse group of people with ease and diplomacy.
- Skilled using Microsoft Office, presentation software, database management and social media.

Work Environment & Requirements:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Compensation Range

$75,000 - $85,000

The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
