The Southfield Parks & Recreation Department is currently hiring Cashier/Receptionists for three locations. Please review the information below for more information on each location.

Cashier/Receptionist - Beech Woods Recreation Center

Pay Rate: $11.00-$13.00 per hour

Location: Beech Road

Schedule : 19+ hours weekly, flexible schedule

Cashier/Receptionist - Beech Woods Driving Range 

Pay Rate: $11.00-$13.00 per hour 

Location: Beech Road

Schedule : 19+ hours weekly, flexible schedule

Cashier/Receptionist - Beech Woods Recreation Center 

* Open and close Front Desk according to procedure.
* Answer customer questions and provide assistance and information in a professional manner.
* Positively promote the service philosophy of the City of Southfield Parks & Recreation Department.  Handle complaints politely; refer to Supervisor.
* Handle and count cash accurately; operate a cash register; handle credit card transactions.
* Register customers for P & R programs, classes, and activities using an upgraded computer based class registration program.
* Answer phone, take messages, and transfer calls professionally and with a smile.
* Operate a fax machine, printer, and copier.
* Perform other related duties as required or assigned. 

Cashier/Receptionist - Beech Woods Driving Range

* Open and close Front Desk according to procedure.
* Answer customer questions and provide assistance and information in a professional manner.
* Positively promote the service philosophy of the City of Southfield Parks & Recreation Department.

 • Handle complaints politely; refer to Supervisor.

 • Handle and count cash accurately; operate a cash register; handle credit card transactions.

* Answer phone, take messages, and transfer calls professionally and with a smile.

 • Operate a fax machine, printer, and copier.

* Must be able to operate the Golf Now Range Application.  
* Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Cashier/Receptionist - Beech Woods Recreation Center 

* Minimum of 16 years of age with a certain level of maturity to handle this high-profile position.
* Excellent organization along with verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to use logical and rational thinking to solve problems.
* Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including fractions, decimals and percentages.
* Ability to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions independently. 

Cashier/Receptionist - Beech Woods Driving Range 

* Minimum of 16 years of age with a certain level of maturity to handle this high-profile position.

The selection process will include a review of the applicant's experience, criminal history and an oral board interview. Each step of the selection process must be passed before the applicant will be considered for advancement to the next step. Applicants will be invited to further participate in the selection process based on the nature and extent of their related experience.
