Position Description:
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This full-time, second-shift Maintenance Generalist position is for Tyson Foods' Vernon, Texas, location. The successful candidate will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment in a food-processing environment. Position will work with scissor lifts, scaffolds, industrial pallet jacks and various chemicals and lubricants and will be responsible for welding, soldering, and assembling equipment.
Requirements:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
* Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
* Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic repair preferred.
* Must be willing to work in a changing environment.
* Must have a minimum work history of 12 consecutive months in maintenance related field in the previous 18 months.
* MUST SUBMIT A RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED.
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to three (3) times of employment.
