Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled Millwright to enhance our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and Job Safety Analysis documents while implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies across all plant systems.
  • Utilize safety measures such as barricades, lockout/tagout procedures, and personal protective equipment to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Identify and report unsafe working conditions promptly.
  • Engage in confined space work, either as an attendant or a participant.
  • Conduct tests on machinery and systems during maintenance to ensure proper functionality before returning to production.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical issues across various plant systems.
  • Fabricate basic factory equipment using materials such as wood, metal, and plastic.
  • Assess electrical controls for proper energization and de-energization.
  • Work with both single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
  • Address simple electrical repairs and determine when professional electrician assistance is necessary.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and minor electrical malfunctions.
  • Install and align machinery with precision, following detailed schematics and diagrams.
  • Understand and apply principles of performance testing and machine release protocols after maintenance.
  • Perform basic rigging and non-critical welding tasks.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Plan and execute maintenance procedures, selecting the most effective troubleshooting methods.
  • Adapt systems to meet evolving requirements through design and construction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the maintenance shop.
  • Document maintenance activities and report any discrepancies in operations or materials.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Successful candidates must pass proficiency tests in various maintenance disciplines.
  • Understanding of basic industrial electricity and power control is essential.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Proficient in using PCs and barcode readers for maintenance tasks.
  • Knowledge of mechanical balance, vibration control, and alignment methods.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy loads and work at heights.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, with no dual citizenship.
  • Willingness to work various shifts as needed.
