PRIMARY PURPOSE: Housby Heavy Equipment is looking for a full-time, experienced Equipment Service Technician to diagnose and repair heavy-duty construction equipment according to OEM Guidelines in a shop environment. We are looking for a dedicated individual with excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. A large amount of our repairs are focused around Volvo Construction Equipment and generators with Volvo Penta Power.

EXPECTATIONS:

* Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Maintain equipment by performing inspections and identifying work and/or damaged parts.
* Diagnose and repair equipment according to OEM guidelines.
* Correct equipment deficiencies by replacing, repairing, and adjusting parts. This may include disassembly of major components, sub-components, or systems to include engines, hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems, and components, pneumatic, electrical, and fuel systems.
* Perform repairs within given timelines.
* Complete service reports and maintain clear customer records.
* Communicate job progress to management.
* Follow general safety rules for each job. Ear/eye protection, leather boots, safety cages, etc.
* Must supply basic hand and air tools to make the job as efficient as possible.
* Must be able to respond to after hour emergency calls as directed by supervisor.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

* Experience working on heavy duty construction equipment.
* Training on multiple different equipment types.
* Class B CDL strongly preferred (Company will assist employee in obtaining).
* Possess a strong attention to detail.
* Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
* General computer skills are highly desired.
* Must follow and have Housby's Core Values

EDUCATION:

* High school diploma or GED required.
* Willing to continue education as directed a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

* Ability to view a computer monitor.
* Alpha/numeric keyboarding.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Standing, climbing, stooping, squatting, walking, and reaching for long periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

* The work environment for this position is varied due to the differences in our work site. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical, vibrations, fumes or airborne particles, toxic, and outside weather conditions.
* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud.
* Works indoors and out. Exposed to some outside weather.
