The Center for Gender Equity (CGE) is excited to announce multiple different Federal Work Study job openings within the Center. The CGE is currently seeking to hire:

* Creative Media Coordinators
* Peer Health & Wellness Educators
* Program Coordinators

This posting is open to both undergraduate and graduate students with a Federal Work Study award. Students will generally work around 5-6 hours per week.

Mission: The mission of the Center for Gender Equity is to promote equity around gender and sexuality, for Pacific students and the surrounding communities, through support services, education, and activism

Responsibilities & Expectations

Regardless of title, all CGE staff members are expected to:

* Be an actively participating team member of the CGE
* Attend weekly staff meetings
* Assist Coordinators in planning and facilitating events
* Evaluate all education and events through pre/post surveys, anonymous feedback, or other tools
* Approach all matters with an intersectional lens
* Maintain cleanliness of the community space
* Greet, inform, and refer visitors as needed

In addition to these responsibilities listed above, job-specific responsibilities are as follows:

Creative Media Coordinators: Plan, create, and advertise media projects- which may include (but is not limited to) any of the following: podcasts, radio shows, Youtube channels, art installations, etc.- which are related to any of the Center for Gender Equity's program areas (gender equity, reproductive justice, interpersonal violence prevention & education, and LGBTQIA+ equity). Creative Media Coordinators will typically only be expected to focus on one or two projects at any given time.

Peer Health & Wellness Educators: Facilitate educational workshops and events on topics including but not limited to safer sex practices, inclusive sexual education, consent, sexual assault prevention & awareness, healthy relationships, interpersonal violence, self care, and more. Assist with planning & advertising events where necessary.

Program Coordinators: Plan, coordinate, and advertise events relating to Gender Equity and/or LGBTQIA+ Equity, including but not limited to the following topics: identity politics, positionality, intersectionality, body politics, body liberation & positivity, gender liberation & empowerment, gender pay gap, pink tax, healthy masculinity, trans justice, LGBTQIA+ liberation & inclusion. Assist with facilitating events where necessary.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

* Reliability & flexibility
* Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
* Excellence in written, verbal communication with the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the diverse university community including all students, staff, faculty, administrators, and the public
* A demonstrated interest in or passion for social justice work in at least one of the following areas: gender equity, reproductive justice, interpersonal violence prevention & education, and LGBTQIA+ equity.
* Maintain a minimum GPA of at least 2.5 or above.

Desired qualifications:

* Prior experience with event planning & facilitation
* Prior study within Gender & Sexuality Studies and/or Social Sciences
* Prior experience with social justice work in any of the following areas: gender equity, reproductive justice, interpersonal violence prevention & education, and LGBTQIA+ equity.
